El Paso Tax Day Tea Party

The location is set!

The El Paso Tax Day Tea Party will be held at the State Line Restaurant outside on April 15th from 4 pm to 6 pm.

We will be discussing the 12 American Solutions for jobs & prosperity (www.taxdayteaparty.com) and will highlight our guest speaker, Dr. Timothy Roth.

There will be a planning committee meeting on Wednesday, March 18th at 5 pm at the Riviera Restaurant on Doniphan. Stay tuned for updates!!

Newt Gingrich to Co-Sponsor Tea Parties!!

Gingrich Throws His Name in the Ring While the Tax Day Tea Parties have been taking the nation by storm, Newt Gingrich has decided to step up to the plate. In a video released today, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vKr95e5aIE, Gingrich shows his support with his own message.

Gingrich says, "Just as the Contract with America brought an end to Democrat control of the House of Representatives in 1994, I see the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition as the vehicle by which conservative activists can bring about the end of Democrat control of the House of Representatives in 2010."
National Communications Director Juliana Johnson states, "This is a major turn for the Tea Parties. Newt Gingrich becoming a part of this is confirming to all of us that the Tea Parties are indeed being heard around the country and that the movement will continue to grow and grow."

El Paso Tax Day Tea Party Update

"Repeal the Pork, Cut Taxes"

The El Paso Tax Day Tea Party planning is well underway. We are very excited to have Dr. Timothy Roth as a featured speaker at the event. He is the A.B. Templeton Professor and Chairman of the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of El Paso. We will be coordinating a food drive at the event. Bring a can of food for a cup of tea! We are actively looking for guest speakers and would welcome any input you might have. Please email elpasoteaparty@gmail.com. The event will begin at 4 pm on April 15th. We will be updating this blog as event details are decided. Invite everyone you know! You can also join the Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party group on FaceBook.

There is also a personal FaceBook group called AMERICA'S TEA PARTY. This group will update Tea Party events and protests throughout the nation on an ongoing basis! This group will update even after the Tax Day Tea Parties have ended. We are planning up to 10 more Tea Parties leading up to elections in 2010.
